My Rating:

4 out of 5 stars!

My Review:

It was a super quick read! What I immediately liked about this Novella is the cover art, the map (side note: maps are always a plus in my book!), I liked that although it is part of a series it can be read as a stand alone. I also liked the story line and that it is a clean read. In my opinion it is most suitable for younger readers. As an adult reader I enjoyed being able to read a solid fantasy story without the time commitment of a novel.

Note: I was given an ARC copy by the author in exchange for an honest review. It doesn't in any way shape or form influence my review.

This was my first time reading Anne Tyler's work. I really enjoyed this retelling it was a witty, fresh take on a classic! The story ended leaving me wanting a little more which thankfully was delivered in the epilogue! Would I recommend it? Yes! It is a fun, light read, great story and characters!
