What I'm Reading Wednesday- My Wish List: A Novel by Gregoire Delacourt

My Thoughts:

First off this book is definitely for adult readers. I'm going to be honest and say that when I picked it up I didn't expect there to be so much graphic adult content. It certainly isn't the type of book I usually gravitate towards but the description drew me in. I was expecting a light read but that is definitely not what this book is. I'm enjoying the story so far it's refreshingly unlike anything I have read before. I'm looking foward to finding out how the story ends.

Description:

Jocelyne lives in a small town in France where she runs a fabric shop, has been married to the same man for twenty-one years, and has raised two children. She is beginning to wonder what happened to all those dreams she had when she was seventeen. Could her life have been different?

Then she wins the lottery—and suddenly finds the world at her fingertips. But she chooses not to tell anyone, not even her husband—not just yet. Without cashing the check, she begins to make a list of all the things she could do with the money. But does Jocelyne really want her life to change?

Book Review: Party of One: A Memoir In 21 Songs by Dave Holmes

My Rating: 3 out of 5 Stars! My Review: I wanted to read this book because I mean hello Dave Holmes wrote it so I was sure it would be filled with nostalgia...which it totally is!!!! The nostalgia is strong with this one!  Boys and girls get ready to be transported back in time with this one! Hats of to Dave Holmes for writing a memoir in such a unique and for the lack of a better word cool way! A memoir in 21 songs is a totally genius concept in my book! The song choices and stories are interwoven gloriously! While reading this book I discovered that Dave Holmes is a pretty funny dude and seems like a pretty cool person! You will like this book if you are a music fan, pop culture fan or a human! Dave presents his stories in a way that I found to be very relatable to anyone who grew up as a human! No spoilers I promise but  Dave shares some pretty cool music related stories! Would I recommend this book?...Absolutely! I mean who doesn't wish they could go back in tim...
